Collaborative Family Law
Lynn Wallis was instructed by a wife who had discovered that, after a long marriage, her entrepreneurial husband was conducting an affair. Despite her unhappiness, the wife felt that the husband would be honest about his financial affairs and they both opted to deal with the matter collaboratively.
We made early progress in a series of meetings. The wife was reassured by the husband during these, which gave her confidence. The couple’s financial affairs were complex, but we were able to agree a complicated arrangement, designed to give the family the best fiscal advantage.
Agreement followed because the couple were committed to resolving the issues in the best way possible before moving on with their lives. We reached a conclusion that everyone considered to be fair in a short timescale with costs at a reasonable level; illustrating how successful the collaborative approach can be.
